In my 40s once when I was doing a hypnosis session I suddenly remembered that when I was in hospital as 4 years old child I received unwanted touch.
I was a little girl and I did not know what was going on. There was an unwanted touch, and my body held onto it, quietly storing the pain. It became a shadow, shaping my sense of self-worth, whispering the belief that I wasn’t enough and didn’t deserve love or the fullness of life.
One of the memories I had from my time in the hospital as 4 years old girl was seeing a nurse, who was changing a nappy and washing the intimate areas of a little child. The child was hysterically crying but she did not acknowledge that.
Her tiny body trembling with a clear and desperate “no.” But she didn’t stop. She didn’t pause to acknowledge the tears or the boundaries this baby was expressing. I stood there, a small girl, and felt my heart ache because I couldn’t understand why. Why didn’t she see? Why didn’t she listen?
I was only 4 years old but I could feel something was wrong...
These moments left a mark, deep within my being. They weren’t just memories; they became stories etched into my body, shaping the way I moved through the world, the way I saw myself.
But that hypnosis session began to unravel something in me, inviting me to walk a new path—a path of healing, forgiveness, and remembering the sacredness of touch and the sacredness of the intimate areas within our body.
It was on this journey that I began to see the body not as something ordinary, but as something divine.
Our bodies are more than vessels; they are sacred temples that carry the essence of life itself. Within every cell is the presence of something holy, something infinite. This realization changed everything for me. It opened my heart and awakened an awareness of how deeply disconnected we, as individuals and as a society, have become from this sacredness.
This awareness brought me to the path of tantra and sacred touch. I learned how intentional touch could be an act of reverence, a language of love, and a bridge to remembering our wholeness. Through touch, I found a way to honor the body, to hold space for its stories—not just the pain, but the sacredness hidden beneath.
As I trained in tantric massage and began working with clients, I witnessed profound transformations. When I created a space where the body was honored as divine, where touch acknowledged both the pain and the beauty of what had been forgotten, something remarkable happened.
Clients began to melt into the fullness of their being. The tension in their bodies dissolved, their inner child found healing, and they reconnected with their capacity to truly receive—love, care, and, most importantly, themselves. I saw some of them reclaim the sacredness of their bodies, including their genitals, as vessels of life force and creativity.
In these moments, I realized that the intimate areas of our bodies are not just physical—they are sacred gateways. They hold the stories of our worth, our connection to life, and our ability to create. Yet as a society, we have forgotten this truth.
The memories of my journey inspired a deep desire to shift this narrative—not just for those I work with but for future generations.
Imagine a world where every baby is welcomed into this world with reverence, where their bodies, including their intimate areas, are honored as sacred from the very beginning.
Imagine parents, nurses, and caretakers who approach their roles with deep awareness, who recognize the miracle of life unfolding before them and treat it as sacred.
Imagine doulas, doctors, and midwives holding space for the miracle of birth, not just as a physical process but as a divine act, a sacred cycle of creation.
When we acknowledge the body as holy, we lay the foundation for a life filled with safety, worth, and love.
When we honor the feminine as sacred, when we celebrate the belly of a pregnant mother as the vessel of creation, we give unborn children the gift of feeling cherished and safe in their very first home.
When fathers cherish this miracle and acknowledge the divine alchemy of creation unfolding in the mother’s womb, they create a profound sense of belonging for the child.
What if even the smallest, most vulnerable parts of a baby’s body—their intimate areas—were treated with deep respect and acknowledgment as sacred? These tender gestures could instill a foundation of inner strength and stability, planting seeds of empowerment from the very beginning.
And when we extend this reverence to every touch, every gesture, every interaction, we begin to create a new earth dynamic—one rooted in love, connection, and the remembrance of our divine nature.
Sacred touch is more than physical; it is an act of love, a practice of presence, and a celebration of the divine within. It reminds us that we are not our pain or our stories, but whole and holy beings chosen to walk this path of life.
It’s time for us to rise as leaders of the heart, to bring this awareness to how we nurture and care for the youngest among us. Let us respect their bodies and boundaries, teaching them that their worth is inherent, their voice matters and their body is a sacred home.
May this vision guide us. May we remember that we are all sacred. May we heal the wounds of the past and plant seeds of love for the generations to come.
May we all rise, rooted in the sacredness of life.
With love,
Annelle
